I have a 2002 Dodge Durango that emits an odd rubbing noise (similar to the noise made when trying to make tight turns in 4WD) whenever making moderate to severe turns. The noise only occurs when moving and does not occur when just turning the steering wheel. Does anyone know what could be causing this noise?

 

Try adding grease or wd40 to the lower ball joints.
