Thanks for all the help so far - I will check the grommets as soon as I get home from work tonight.

He's right.

It's eather the windshild groment or firewall groment. There is a panel under the kick plate on some D's. If you look under the truck there could be a panel right under your feet but closer to the front fire wall.
