Just a follow up as I hate when people post problems but never the solution...

The PCM was bad. They dropped the pan, replaced the filter and all solenoids/sensors and it made no difference. A friend of a friend of a friend of the shop had a D that matched mine, (exact yr options, etc). They swaped PCM's and mine ran perfect and his tossed the code.

I sent mine out to be reman'ed, should have it back in about a week.

Thanks for all the help...and....it hurts to say it... the dealership was right, for once!

Hummm... I am wondering if this is my problem now. my 3-4 shift is still not fixed and have almost eliminated everything but the PCM/TCM

Could someone send me the pdf file if there is any, on where these relays and solenoids are? I keep having p0753 and p1765 come off and on, and will loose my lower gears it seems. Is there any easy fix such as a fuse or relay under the hood? or am I going to have to take apart my tranny?

FYI - The solution to my problem (reason the thread was started) was to replace the the PCM. I had the shop swap with a like D and it worked fine. I found a place on line that sells reman'ed PCM's, purchased, installed, and about 2k miles on it and no problems since.

Default thanks

thanks, for the post I have the same problem on my 2000 D. I did the same thing you did. Change the tcc and o/d, Governor solenoids sensors, and oil fitter. With on help. My transmission Guy wonts to cut the wiring harness. I said no thanks and drove off. I will try the pcm.

I've seen pre-flashed versions on www.ebay.com

After replacement they need to be flashed by the dealer unless you get a preflashed one.
