Default Crazy noob question about tools..

My name is Gus... I'm a recovering Ford-a-holic...

Seriously, after 350k miles my 91 F-150 has been a faithful beast of burden and I'll never say anything bad about it but like most Fords it suffers from a split personality complex. Half 'standard'... half 'metric'...

After one week I'm in love with my 99 Durango and I am wondering if I need to double stock my tool box for it like I did my Ford?

I'm sure I'd figure it out over time but why do that when I can just ask you guys.

Thanks

yes but it isn't as bad as on the Ford.

My son's Explorer was the same as your F150. The D isn't so bad. Only Metric where you might expect it to be.

Im tearing apart a 79 f250... It's great only having to use one set of tools and a BFH... Axles are going under the D so next tool a step up ima use is a torch, the one true multi-use tool

Now only if i could fit the 400ci engine in a gocart...

BFH, you forget that EVERYTHING is a hammer, just that some hammers work better than others

Now only if i could fit the 400ci engine in a gocart...

Lots of people put 400ci (and bigger) motors in go-carts.. They call them top-fuel dragsters.

I basically use Metric, seems to fit just about everything I come across that I need to take apart.

Hell lets just install a super charged 408 in a sand rail and call it a day!

It really is a fight between a hammer, torch, pliers, or duct tape....... LOL
