i actually have more faith in asking people on the internet for the fact it will be seen by a lot more people.. as taking it to the "technicians" has resulted in a still dead truck.....

what is a shop going to check that the dealership didn't? honestly? are they going to spend the countless hours on the internet like i am doing trying to find it? no they arent....

Your problem is that you have introduced a dozen different variables and the culprit that went bad... which ever one it is... is still bad. Why? Knowledge related to the install, a bad part, etc. Who knows. However continued posts about it here is useless.

The only thing not answered is if you are interested in trading for the Explorer? LOL.

ok, so all the stock parts went bad, and all the new replacement parts are bad too..... doesnt make sense...... not that all of them would all be bad a second time around..... codes were reset after each and every part, and again, they came back, after each and every part.....

what else is there left to do? swap the originals back in 1 by 1? test something else? what?

in doing some research online, i found there might be an issue with a temperature sensor for the coolant? what would i do to test it, possibly with a dvom?

test the sensor internally for the oil pressure? can i put a mechanical oil pressure gauge somewhere to verify proper pressure? can i test the sensor with a dvom in any way?

what about if i were to spray around the intake with a can of starting fluid with a fine mist nozzle and listen for changes in the idle?

what about having a tech do a smoke test on it? would that find an issue in the manifold if there was one? might also find the culprit to the p0440, or p0441?

Sorry... I'm out. I can't believe this is serious anymore. Take it to the crusher... they'll give you $100 for the scrap metal.

Next.

If you are going to Basic, leave her your car. You won't need it, trust me. Until AIT you won't need it and if you ship out, you still won't need it. Doesn't add up. Nothing in this thread does.

why not ask someone on the internet to do a smoke test oh thats right they cant!!!!! if ur gona put every technician down saying that we cant do what the dealers can do is retarded we can do more than the dealers cause the DEALER doest not give a RATS *** about your vehicle and why would they where as a local shop has more care and precison and does not like comebacks. and as for your temp sensor you need a multimetre FORGET about a dvom the sensor is probably $20 buy a new one and shoot more parts at your durango and then once you have spent $20,000 then send it to the junk yard cause your internet buddies cant help you. or change your wiring harness because thats the only part you havent changed........................................... .................................................. .................................................. ..................
and take out your oil pressure sensor and install a oil pressure gauge in the sensor hole and if you dont know where that is take it to a technician

hydrashocker has been the only one to actually care and give advice, and not have his head so far up his tail he cant see anymore..... sorry if your feelings got hurt. i have a good mutimeter, and know how to check it.... this is not the first problem we have had with dodge computers....what you are spouting is what drives people away.... to more reliable vehicles....

if you dont like being called a mechanic, then prove you have earned the right to be a technician

sorry, i am going into the air force, to defend people you like and your crass opinions.... i am going to be a technician, because i have the ability to check outside the box, and help people.... not just tell people that it isnt what the book says, and that it is a part that was already replaced, implying the original part went bad, and the new oem part was bad from the box

We are the idiots? Last time I checked, our trucks run. And MANY have tried to help you and you still complain and whine. It's not our truck to fix. We try to help and aid you for FREE with ideas. This is the internet, not the welfare line where you actually come away with something tangible for free. You attitude is getting you nowhere.

Best of luck. Jody gets the girl ya know. Maybe he can fix cars.

BTW, you're right. It's Dodge's fault for making a cheap product. Right. Frackin' troll.
