Question?
ok yesterday coming home from work as i was getting off of the freeway i here a clunk after that as i am driving it is making a real funny banging sound so i look at the driverside everything is fine go to the passenger side and there is only one lug nut and stud left everything else has broken off. so my question is what could have caused this? i have never taken this tire off in the seven months i have owned the durango
loose lugs?
The D had a recall on the BJs. Basically, the stock BJs suck and the recalled BJs suck too. Both will get old and fail. Since you have just added a ton of stress to the wheel area with all the lugs off and the results that have came from that... have the TREs and the BJs evaluated for repair/replacement. You do NOT want to be driving along and loose the front tire off the D entirely. It has happened and with the knowledge thats out there, it is fully preventable.

The last person to chage your tires or balace them didn't tighten them properly. Once a shop removes your tires and replaces them after 25 miles you are suppost to check them...... It's written in the contract you sign (work order).
They can come loose even if they were torqued because torquing is streching the bolt and once you do this (from the factory) a bolt cannot be properly torqued again, thus relating to the disclaimer.
