Default remove the cat- NOT A GOOD IDEA!!

I have come full circle on this stupid idea of taking out the catalytic converter. even got a fastman simm still ran like crap. A local shop was hella cool when they went ahead and welded my cat back in. The d has magnaflow on it and when the cat came out, man it was LOUD! didn't sound good, didn't perform worth a **** so now my ? is.. with the fastmann simm on, should it still run ok or will i have to go back to regular o2 sensor on the backside? If anyone knows would appreciate some feed back. Dan (who sold me the unit) seems to always be on vacation so can't get an answer from him. The d is still throwing the freakin' p1495 leak detection pump solenoid curcuit crap but I will deal with that. I just don't want to go hacking wires for o2 sensor if i don't have to..........

Default I did put the cat back

I did put the cat back and all is sounding good just not running good. Since it still throws a p1495 (ldp solenoid curcuit) code, will that cause the d to run so bad? Will that code cause havoc because the cel is on? It has also thrown a random p0132 and p0135 code but sometimes it doesn't. Like hydra said, i wish i would of knew of this forum first before i had the idea of removing the cat. I will be sure to keep up with this sight from now on like it is a religion. I sure have learned alot from everybody and do appreciate everyone's help..

Did you ever check the voltage and resistance like I said?

Default yes i reset the computer..

i have a obd2 code reader and reset the computer and it instantly throws a p1494 p1495 and now a p0132. bank 1 is the upstream correct? I have a universal simm there and the fastmann in the downstream. Dan said It will do what it is designed to do but why the p0132 code now? I figure with the p1494 and p1495 I will have to replace the ldp pump. Is it possible to bypass this unit since it seems to be optional only for california?

Problem right there! You don't want a SIM for your primary o2! You have two o2 sensors... One is a pre, and one post... You put the sim on the POST cat ONLY! And Bank 1 is which bank of cylinders... You are thinking of SENSOR 1 being up stream...

You have Bank 1 Sensor 1
There is a Bank 1 Sensor 2
Bank 2 Sensor 1
Bank 2 Sensor 2

Bank is left or right of the motor
Sensor is Pre or Post cat....

the simm is on the post. do you know if you can bypass the leak detection pump since it is a optional thing for calif.? or will the computer go whacky cause of it not being there?
