This should be interesting to say the least... I have a 86 Firebird that I aquired for free from a friend: 2.8 V6 lol. I pulled the engine, 700R4 Tranny, wiring harness and exhaust last year. I bought a stroker kit from PAW, to turn the 350 to 383. Flat top Wysco pistons, XRods and Steel Crank, Carb, Fuel regulator, Borla Catback and Headman Headers. I told the wifey we could do the same to her Durango haha!

Job completed last week, 5.2 installed with no special ECM flashing or reprograming. Engine runs great with no trouble codes. Plugs look great after +100 miles.

The ECM must use the same injector pulse and timing as it's big brothers 360. The truck is going to the dealer for a quick look through by the local dealer to make sure the engine is communicating with the transmission correctly so we do not burn it up. They are going to recharge the AC for us while they have it....

5.9 is awaiting rebuild.
