Unhappy Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I have a '01 Durango 5.9 R/T. The heater hose that comes off the waterpump goes toward the firewall. Right next to the master cylinder it hits a "Y" connection. One leg off the Y goes into the firewall. (I assume this is for the front heating) The other leg goes along the fiewall over to the passenger side of the truck to an electic pump. (rear heat, I assume) I have called the dealership and they aren't too sure of the part or part number if it's not "in the picture" in their computer. That's annoying as heck for them to say that! Anyway, the hose is all ONE COMPLETE part and I need it all. Is anyone familiar with the part? Is it a dealer only part? Any help would be great. Thanks.

LOL! Which part... You mentioned like 3 of them? A hose? But which one? Pictures are your friend...

Ha, Ha like I said, it's all ONE HOSE. It comes off the water pump, and by the master cylinder, hits a FACTORY "Y" connection. It's one hose molded into a y connection that splits it into two hoses. There are no clamps of any kind at the y connection. From there, one leg goes into the firewall and one goes along the firewall to an electric pump for the rear heat. ALL ONE HOSE. I don't mean to sound cranky but I ended the post saying,"the hose is all ONE COMPLETE part." I just finished dumping 2-3 grand into this thing for a rear main seal, leaking freeze plugs replaced and getting 99% of the cooling system replaced. Now I get smacked with this crazy hose with a y connection in it. Not to mention we are a one vehicle household. Just seems like one thing after another and I'm a little frustrated with it all. My apologies. Any ideas?

Don't have that one and I don't see it in the manual but can't you just make one?

could you use a brass Y fitting split it into 3 hoses and then change only the leaking component?

try lowes home depot plumbing - newer plastic household has a nice selection of fittings

there was a TSB concerning this hose - not owning a durango not familiar with details...

Don't have the answer but share your frustration with a dealer who can't identify a part because it doesn't show on their pictures. Had the same experience with the little right elbow tube that goes from the MAP sensor to the throttle body. Even took the parts mgr. out to the truck and showed him. He was at a total loss. Checked with two other dealers - "hell if we know". LOL Luckily one of the techs told me how to repair a tear in the tube with a short pice of shrink tube. I believe the fix is now stronger than the original part. If I was Irish I would believe in that kind of luck.
