Default Mpg???

Sorry if it's been done. But what's the best MPG you've ever had? I did 15.8 mpg yesterday after driving mostly highways. The trip took 24 miles and here was the result, it was 16.1 mpg but I took too long to take the pic. Also, excuse the cell phone pic.

^ LMAO! ^

Fuel up as far as you can and run that tank under normal conditions weather it's on hwy or city conditions. Wait tell about 1/4 tank and refill. Get you mileage driving and divide it into the amount of gallons used. You want to do this a few times in the category to get a overall amount. For instance if you drove 189.6 miles divided into 12 gallons used you get 15.8 miles per gallon. 189.6 / 12 = 15.8....... Now you have to compare apples to apples so stay with the same fuel octane and establishment.

For instance I average 15.4 to 15.8 MPG on the hwy using 85 octane and use Maverick fuel running 70-80 MPH average.

City is same fuel and octane and average 11.4 to 13.5 MGP's depending if I can keep my foot out of it......LOL

Now the higher the octane the slower the burn so expect little MPG increases as well as performance. I really like Chevron fuel for the smothest ride and gas mileage. I always fill up using 91 (the best at this altitude) octane before I tow and during for increased power and performance. I NEVER use cleaners or boosters.
