Default New Member with Radiator questions

Hello everyone
Im a new member but have been poking around the forums for some time now.

I have a 2000 Durango with a 5.9
I recently moved to San Antonio TX from Michigan.
It gets prety hot down hear and id like to make some changes to the D for better cooling.
First off let me mention that the Clutch fan system SUX on the D, I have had the clutch replaced twice already and it still sounds like a plane taking off for about 50 miles, been this way for awhile (didnt do this when i first got the D a few years ago)

Already installed Jets 180 T stat

I came across a 3 core radiator on craigs list for 15 bucks.
Its in great shape so I picked it up.
Provided I can get it to fit in the housing I would like to remove the clutch fan and add a dual electric fan.
One that runs all the time and the other to kick on at about 165 -175
What recomendations can you guys give me for fans and electricals needed for the job.

Please let me know if you need more info or if I neglected to mention any thing.
Thanks guys

Chad

Hum, well i am not a fan of removing the clutch fan. Personally and from what i have read and don a lot of research on, it does not cool better nor does it really give you any HP gain. Larger radiator is a step in the right direction but the best option is to keep the system clean inside and out. try to keep the engine clean of grease ext..
(if you have not done a flush of the radiator you probably would want to have it professionally flushed at a radiator shop, best to pull it and have them clean it for $50-60) I personally flush my system ever other year on all my vehicles.

Just curious what brand of clutch fan are you buying or was buying?

Wow thanks for all the info guys
After much reading I am going to go with a Lincoln Cont. Fan off ebay or local J.Y.
and I will prolly hook it up to run low all the time and High when Temp gets high.
+ the new 3 core Rad.
I should never see high temps EVER
