Wow this thread took off. Sorry guys I was in the middle of moving. Still am. I will try to get better pictures of where I used all the washers. But I did use 18 and hopefully the new pictures I take will clear things up. But since the lift I put 1000 miles on the durango in about 4 days. Still need to get a alignment. Rides great though.

 

Thanks Hydra. I went and ordered them from NAPA today. Now I just need to know how to get the new bushings in. I should have them by Tuesday morning.

 

You burn the old ones out. Then you can put a little WD-40 on the inside and outside of the bushing, and slide it in........LMFAO

 

Lmao. I was told to put them in dry. But thanks! Lol so I cut the old bolts, burn out the old bushings, and then put the new ones in and then BAM! done.

 

So wait you did or did not install the shackles?!

 

I havent yet, my leaf spring bushing are all gheyed up

 

Oh by the way, did I mention there's always that 1 small roadblock when working on vehicles, never fails, but it certainly brings out the creativeness in us and now we got a new trick or two learned for future PITAs haha.

Also if you wanted to get the old bushings out faster and save torch fuel just take a drill to them and then burn out what's left over with the torch.

 

Ya know, you could have at least spit on it before pushing it in right?


They don't like it when they get done dry.

 

Okay so I am going to get the bushings right now. Ill have to see if we still have a soldering torch around here, if not then I guess ill have to get creative again.
