You can only do what you can.....Thanks for trying!
I'm having the same problem. I found one of these wires laying in the ground under my 2007 Dodge Charger. I cannot figure out where it was at. Car has been overheating. I have the 3.5....any idea how to figure this out? I've been researching for 3 days now with no luck.
1. Engine Block (engine)
2. Outside firewall (for PCM)
3. Cab (interior electronics)
4. Frame or top of the motor? Also I COULD see a conection under the airbox close to the TCM which is located by the intake tube (Dark Intake tube in Dan's photo) by radiator.
Please get us a bigger photo or pull the air box Dan?
I have an 03 Durango with the ground straps where that little black connector is but one of the straps is three straps together one goes to the top of the motor one goes to the firewall or the cab rather firewall and it bolts right there on the fender well but there's a third that goes down between the exhaust manifold and I can't see where it's connected underneath any ideas
Okay, I think I've found the loose conenction. I took some pics so here goes:
Ground overview: Attachment 98713
#1 is the firewall ground
#2 is the loose connection Attachment 98714
Sorry, it was the best closeup I could get.
#3 is the connection under the airbox, just like your first pic, Brian Attachment 98715
Here's a closer look at where the loose connection should look like. It should be right under the 5/8 in. heater hose shown here and beneath the two cables wrapped in braided hose. Attachment 98716
Sorry hydra, I couldn't pull the airbox. I got home late from doing OT and the pics were the best for now.
I am in desperate need of the serial number for that black plugin ground under the airbox. There are 3 wires connected in that position on my dakota, and one of them is a plug in module. I'm guessing it's a computer relay that doesn't seem to be complete the circuit. My ohm meter reads for all other grounds and the two other wires on that bolt. Does anyone have access to this piece to get a picture or a number.
thank you
