Default TCM Location 2001 Durango SLT 4WD

Does anyone know the location of the TCM for a 2001 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD? Also, what is the approximate cost for a repalcement unit?

Right next to the radiator in the gap on the passengers side. It has a large heat sink on it.

Not sure on the cost but check E-bay. You are talking about the Transmission Control Module aren't you?

Best place I found was online at www.acrautos.com. $169.00 with lifetime warranty!

Default What do you think about a salvaged TCM (transmission control module)

I found one at a reputable salvage yard for 90 bucks. Does it need any programming or adjustment to the transmission after installing it? I'm getting a P0700 (internal TCM) code and having shift issues on the upshift from 2nd to 3rd gear...thought I'd start with replacing the TCM due to its easy access location. Any suggestions or comments?

you must have a 4.7. a 5.9 won't have one.
