hmmm mine has NEVER been that bad, thank god, but im sure that would scare me to open the oil cap and see that much in there

Actually, I have the thin black coating as well. No foam though cause I have the baffle.

You guys must make some short trips or live in extremely cold temps. Mine doesn't have anything like that. It does however have the lil black coat.

Errrr? Yours most likely just has the fix already applied to it to keep this from happening. Once the TSB was released as the fix for older 4.7s, they integrated the fix in to future production runs. Doubtful anyone would see a 2009 for example with that type of emulsification.

mine came with the fix in it, and i dont get it anywhere near as bad as thos pictures show, just a very little bit on top of the baffle
