not sure if they are different, ill measure em for ya first thing tomorrow morning (ok more like 900 am when i FIRST wake up ) i dont see any reason for dodge to have changed them i would expect the different sizes to be a front/back difference, but im not sure on this(i THINK there should be a sway bar on the back too)

well the main difference in the sway bar look and thickness is between the 4x4 model and the 4x2. my problem is im not sure if the sway bar is the same thickness for the 4x4 98-03 rango. and thanks in advance!

ok i just measured mine 1.482 at the outside bushing and 1.497 at the inside bushing

keep in mind that these numbers could be a little high due to the fact that i washed the truck yesterday AND It seems to have rained last night so there IS ice on the sway bar

so i would say the 1.40 or 1.30 would be correct size (not sure which you said, but either way 100 thousandths isnt a whole lot)

it should be 1.3 mine measured about 1.42 but after washing all of the crud off and using a scotch brite pad to get any caked dirt or grime it was 1.35 so yeah that sounds about right. and yeah on the 4x2 model it takes the smaller one.

Ok cool thanks. Are the out side and inside bushings the same? As in same type? Or do I have to buy a diff type?

The one that's has the flat surface goes to the frame mount. 1.4" is what you need as I said earlier.

And this on to the outside:

I have never had so much trouble with bushings before. first off how do you remove the upper bolt of the inside bushings? do i unscrew the nut? or the bolt?

And the outside bushings! how are you supposed to remove them? the bars are kind of under pressure so when i take the bolts off the bar is pushing the bushing against the control arm(A arm)??

When i replace the bushings should i just take the whole sway bar off? it seems like that would be a lot easier. Plus the old stock bushings dont have a slit in the rubber so i will need to slide them off i wont be able to just pull them off.
