I have a 1999 durango with a hole in the block,,,what kind of issues if any will i run into if i put a 5.9 in its place,,,will the ecm need to be changed or will the 5.2 computer run the 5.9. Will there be any trans issues too?

trans SHOULD bolt right up, but it will likely not last for too long with the extra torque of the 5.9 going through it, and the motor mounts should match, im not sure about the pcm

definitely put a shift kit in there, if it were me i would replace all the sensors/solenoids in it too and probably drop the check valve out of the line to the trans cooler as it is prone to clogging and eating the trans

is the 96 OBDII???? (im not sure exactly which year the switch was mandatory, but i konw it was around 96)

i think the engine needs to be from an OBDII truck in order to work properly
