What year and engine do you have? 5.2/5/9L could be a purge solenoid, or 4.7L could be exhaust leak or transmission solenoid.

need more information than that

if you have the 4.7 and it is there every time you start the engine and goes away once the oil pressure is up its relatively common and wont harm anything

my 5.9 is ticking but I am nearly perfectly sure it is coming from the injectors that is making the ticking noises. passenger side slightly louder than driver side.

Need more info. Are you referring to the noise you hear sometimes when it's really cold and you're accelerating down the street? That happens to me sometimes as well, but if the truck is warmed up it goes away. I very scientifically categorized this noise as a "warming up noise"

Default Ticking solution

Own '03 5.9 w/136K and ticking started 2 weeks ago. took it to Brakes Plus of all places..OK, laugh it up, but guess what...Broken bolts on the manifold. $280 diagnosis...ugh!! and $60.00 Gasket kit with bolts and no more ticking...AT ALL!!! got a trany service, coolant flush, alignment, oil change, and I changed the plugs mysel and now she purrrrrrs again. go Durango! I read lots of blogs talking about engine sludge, doom and gloom and they were all wrong. Others said check the injectors and/or lifters..wrong. Finding oout the broken bold thing is fairly common. Hope that IS your issue because it is easy to solve. Happy Trails!
