I can see that on a Rally Race because there are large stretches where is is a "Race" and indeed HP is valuable there. However, most 4x4s are muddin' and crawlin' and not really Rally worthy. I doubt that "pickup" is a rally racer.

That Durango with the Viper motor in it was originally a project vehicle for Petersons Four Wheel Drive magazine ( if memory serves correctly). They had built it for drag mud bogging. It was written a few issues ago that is was still an incomplete project. I was they would have finished it.

Just got my first Durango last night, its a 98 with 151K on the OD. 5.2l and I must say I should have gotten one of these sooner

Looks like she is in nice shape for the miles. No rust on the bumper even.

Right there with you NH. We just got ours last wednesday and already fell for it. I haven't even finished the initial repairs I'm up against (let alone the mods and upgrades I WANT to do) and we're lovin it SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN ONE SOONER !!!!!
Although for my patience I grabbed this one for a steal. I'm picking up some great ideas from here also,you guy's (and girls) have some awesome trucks....

Yeah I cant wait to start modding her. I already have the go ahead for chrome nerf bars and a LOUDER exhuast muahahahahaha. Then I will never get to drive her cause the Ol Lady will have it all the time
