Unhappy OK thought it was fixed but not

OK thought it was fixed but not. Changed the air intake valve and it ran but now it will stall after it runs for a few minuets. It is like you turn the key off. it does not run rough at all just stops. After it stalls it is hard to start and I could here the gas pump activate twice

Did you goose the throttle while starting? How's your battery? Our Ds are very picky if the battery is bad.

I had the same prob with the fuel pump. It would take a long crank to get it to fire, once she fired it ran fine. Finally replaced the pump, it's a PITA to replace.

I'm thinking fuel pump as well. Do a pressure test to confirm.

Hi guy's
Cleaned the throttle body today the D ran great drove to town (80KM) and on the way home it started to run rough and stalled. It would not restart until it cooled down. I towed it home then it ran nice again. I found today that if I started it, it would run rough so I turned it off then on again and it ran OK. Thinking that it might be the fuel pump. Will check the fuel pressure tomorrow. What should the pump pressure be. (57psi) ?

Max is 54psi (at curb idle) and anything under 50psi I would change out however people and the book have always argued this point with me I stand by my opinion.
