Default what size tires do you guys run?

i currently have 16 inch rims on my durango but the tires are wayyyy too small. i have 225/75/16's on it and they look like crap. i am debating between 245/75/16's and 265/75/16's.

Most run a 31 X 10.5 X 16 as the second choice.

sounds good, i will get the 265/75/16's as that is the more common and cheaper size in my area.

i am no longer a fan of bfg tires. i bought a set of the old style bfg mt kms for my f250 several years ago. i got over 70k on those tires before they were wore out. lots of abuse on and offroad, lots of towing........ when it came time to replace them bfg had changed their rubber compound making them softer. i bought the bfg at's and to my horror they were balled in 22k. that was mostly highway miles and i might have towed once or twice on them. nowhere near the abuse the old tires got. called bfg and they filled me in on the rubber change..... told me sorry for your bad luck. will never buy a set of bfg's again. i purchased a set of super swamper ssr's for the f250 and have 14k on them and they look brand new still, not bad for a diesel truck turning 37's as a daily driver.

i haven't had a set of BFGs on anything very heavy and can't really speak to the wear, but i love the way they perform on/offroad. in the snow they are flat amazing (which matters where i am).

durangos tend to be amazing in the snow, i know quite a few people (cops included) who have driven a durango in the snow and have told me that they are tanks, and they are afraid to go back to their own vehicles (of course no one but me drives mine)
