02 durango A/C compressor, which one
My compressor is knocking after running a few minutes and the temp is not very cool i've checked the idler pully and a/c clutch and both are good so i'm going to replace the compressor
i was looking at autopartswharehouse.com and they have compressors with different size ports.
which fits my 02 durango slt 4.7 with rear air?
also which compressor brands have you used? any suggestions?

i would check the freon level in the unit first, low freon can cause less than acceptably cold air and a number of other issues, also check for leaks in the compressor and evap lines, could even be the evap core that is leaking, i would not jump to the conclusion that the compressor is bad before going through the proper diagnosis
it started last summer and i checked the refridge level then and it was good, the compressor knocks like a thrown rod with a minute or 2 of running

went ahead and checked the psi on the ac and its 42-44 psi and also need to figure out which O2S is bad
i got this trouble code
P0420 1/1 catalytic converter EFF
P0138 1/2 O2S shorted to voltage
anyway to test each to see which is bad? i dont have the money to take it to a dealer so i need to figure this out myself

nevermind on the sensors thats fixed but the A/C problem is still there i went to Advance auto parts, Oreilly, and Auto Zone and no one had one in stock, AZ could get one in 2 days but the guy behind the counter couldnt figure out which one went to my car even with the info on the tag on my current compressor and i couldnt get to the dealer before they closed to figure out which one fits
