Default Irratic idle

hello my 2000 durango has a messed up idle when you turn on air or heat it will idle at about 14-1500 rpm also with nothing on its jumpin up and down even when at 100 kms pulling a trailer with my razor on it jumps from like 1900 to 2400 then back and forth constant what could it be???? it has 4.7

the TPS is the most common culprit for irradic RPMs at cruising speed or with the cruise control on, it could also be a bad battery, try the TPS fist and get back to us

do i change it or is it cleanable

TPS is replaced, not cleaned.

+3 Replace the TPS and clean the TB.

changed out the tps, seems to be fine now will try it out on the highway tommorow thanks again

My Dodge is also drifting at idle to almost 2000 RPM, but is only affect at idle. Could this also be the TPC? I will look more, but a awhile back when i was investigating it appeared that if I would press on the throttle shaft at the cable mounts the idle would go back down to normal like as if the clearance of the throttle shaft and throttle body casting was to large sucking additional air?
