Good to hear from you again, sorry I can't help you with the correct size. Last time my rear differential was serviced it was "subcontracted out"...lol!! Keep in mind it maybe different size for your vehicle if previous owner had screws stripped or broken etc....

But as they say in the commercials.......size matters, size matters....size matters..!!!!!

drain and fill plug on my 01 ram is 10mm hex key. 3/8" is close, but will strip it !!!
if you don't have a hex that size you can use a 10mm bolt head with a nut tightened down on it.

tip - remove fill plug first just in case it strips or won't come out.

i like valvoline atf+4.

I second the Valvoline Fully Synthetic ATF+4.

There are no other Fully Synthetic base ATF+4's out there that are approved that I know of. There are Synthetics, but not Chrysler Approved manufactures. ATF+4 has to meet certain strategic testing that is heavily scrutinized by Chrysler and manufactures don't like to meet that testing so they are NOT approved. Kinda strange that some manufactures are all guns about their products but run from regulation......LOL

+3 on Valvoline ATF+4. I wasnt aware that it was approved or authorized for transfer case but if the Grand Exhaled master Hydra says it is approved then it is so.

Yes it is approved for the Transfer Case.

It is approved for use in ATF+3, as ATF+4 has superseded it's use and everyone should be switching over to it.

The "Grand Exhaled master Hydra" huh...........LOL

Anyway here is more information on ATF+4: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...f-4-facts.html
