just swapped out the relay for the headlamps. still nothing. something that i did notice however, on the passenger side under the hood, i was looking at the headlamp wiring and notice a wire that wasnt plugged into anything coming out the the mass of taped wires just next to the horn. any idea what this goes to?
so i unplugged and removed the switch from the tranny and the fuse still blew when i put in a new one and turned the key. any other ideas on what it could be?
On the reverse lights, there is a neutral/park switch right by the where the linkage goes into the transmission. This switch could be bad. I would unplug it and place a fuse in the dash and see if it blows. If not then I would suspect the switch or a short down stream. You could test with resistance or continuity to ground looking for a short on the down stream side once you take both the reverse light bulbs out. If there is no short replace the switch. If there is a short fix it.
im confused. if the fuse still blows with the switch unplugged and removed from the tranny completely the its possible that it would be the switch still?
