2003 Durango - Dead
This morning I tried to start my 2003 Durango SLT and it would not turn over. My husband jumped the battery, and I let it run a good 5 minutes before pulling out of the driveway. I drove approximately 1/2 mile and stopped at a stop sign. My Durango died again.
The idiot lights were on, and the power window and locks still worked...but no turn over. My poor husband came to save me with the jumper cables, but the Durango would die as soon as he removed the cables. We ended up having to tow it back to the house.
My plan is to have the battery and alternator tested. Do you think one of these could be the culprit?? I'm at a loss....

what indy said, you are wrong the battery voltage is what the pcm actually sees and if it isnt exactly what it expects it doesnt run right

yes it is possible, that is why they dont put it into all batteries anymore (mine doesnt have one) i would replace the battery regardless, like i said above (and indy said it too) these truck are VERY picky about batteries, any little bit of flake in power supply and you are going to have problems
now, if you replace the battery and it happens again, then id look at the alternator, but chances are that the battery will fix it
