Well things are looking good and are still in the measurment and sourcing stage. The seatbelts have been addressed and other things. Looks fine and only real issue is finding a donor truck with the seats in good enough condition and not weathered. Looks like I have to go out of town a little ways. I will post up pics and what not when I finally find everything and got it done. No more space between me and the lady

Now you just need to make it a manual and "accidentally" slip off the gear shifter when sinking it into 4th.......

Default Nope

the front bench seat has never been an option for the Durango, however there are custom modifications out there. I own an 03 durango sxt and have it converted to bench in front (loss of the center console) and a 50/50 split bench in the middle...which gave me more feet room for the 3rd row. You dont want to know what it cost me....would not do it again

Oh the I am sure she will let me pretend it's a manual har har
A bench front seat was an option for the Durango if you started at the beginning of this thread and the other thread that this topic has been covered on. Not common but it was an option and a couple of members have provided photos showing us their bench's from the factory. The more I have looked into this, the cost to me will be whatever I can find a seat for. I don't see how it gave the 3rd row anymore foot room when it doesn't adjust the 2nd row? Unless that was a typo.

front bench was definitely an option, just a very rare one.

That is incorrect! +1 Sharps

You could get it with a bench seat up front. There where about 35,103 built with a front bench. Here is even a recall to prove it: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...-durangos.html
