Default 1999 dodge durango new motor bad mpg

I have a 1999 dodge durango with a brand new rebuilt motor along with a new transmission the motor only has 2000 miles on build and im getting 10.3 mpg high way and city!!!!!! i need help asap please its braking my bank i replace brake lines motor trans spark plug and wires and muffler pass nj dmv inspection! help!!!!

did you get a high performance engine from them?? also you need to compute you mpg from how many miles are going through the tank. Find out here.. (wikihow) The on board computer thing can give you wrong numbers.. especially after a major change like an engine swap..

also.. it will never hurt to call them up and talk to their tech support..

What size is the motor and what is the rear end gearing?

No i didnt get a high performance just stock 318 5.2 the rear is stock also it was a remanufactured but now i am going by miles and i filled it and it gave me around 230 miles then the empty light turn on lol this is bs $60 damit

what do you mean the battery was of and shut it off doesnt that reset it?

Do i have to take it to a dealer?

No, to reset the PCM take the negative wire off the battery post and turn the key to "Start" position and hold it there for 15 seconds. Let off and remove key and replace negative battery cable and start the truck up. Don't touch the accelerator and let it sit and idle for 15 seconds then turn off. Turn it back on and you're set to go drive like you normally do.

so hold the key as if im starting it so hold it then let go
