A couple places I talked to did call people they know. A couple others gave me numbers to other salvage yards they deal with. No luck. I am really leaning towards just attempting the rebuild myself.

Also, can anybody point me to a post, or maybe put up a list of the common replace items in most any rebuild other than frictions and seals(obvious stuff) Recommended upgrades for a daily driver that will tow occasionally, etc. Something I can make note of to take to the trans supply place to order parts all at once. Theres a lot of good info in the 46re tutorial, But I just cant keep track of all the recommened, needed, and if your building this or that you need to do this too, but not needed for daily and light towing use. Sorry if I confuse anybody, its 4am and Im running on little sleep already. This things gonna give me a stroke. Stuff that should be replaced even if it looks good still.

What kind of ram? 1500, 2500, or 3500? The 5.9 360 was used in all 3.

Listing only says it came from a 98 4x4 Ram with the 360. Why would the transmissions be different between those with the same engine and 4x4?

As the hauling and towing capacity goes up, so does the demand placed on the tranny.

I suppose it's possible that they use the same tranny in all 3 models, but it wouldn't make much sense to me. You'd end up with models that had either an insufficient tranny, or unnecessary overkill (which == unnecessary expense)...

I would get ahold of the owner and ask what it came from exactly.
