Exclamation OEM Drivetrain capability

Hey everyone on DodgeForum.com hows it going? Since I have recently determined a few other minor issues with my 2001 Durango 4.7 4x4 I now would like to start dressing it up a little. I have already started with P235/85R16 Goodyear Wrangler Authority A/T tires, soon I plan to get the front windows tinted to match, install a nerf bar kit, CAI, maybe a pushbar/grille guard, get an exhaust system, and do a full synthetic fluid change. My oly concern is how much extra power can the t case, shaft, tranny, and differential handle before I need to stard upgrading those as well. Again I thank everyone in advance for all of their insight!

if you plan on just doing bolt-ons you will be fine, if you plan to tear into the engine and REALLY build it up(cams, rollers, bore out the pistons, port polish, put it all together) is where you are going to run into problems

you would not need to worry about the trans/t-case just doing cams im not sure how much power they actually add tho

Okay so by only using bolt ons would it help or hurt my fuel economy, with more power comes less work as I see it.

Most bolt on's will help your fuel economy. If you're worried on power and increasing fuel economy I would recommend starting with a CAI because this gives the engine cold air which has more mass and keeps the engine cooler. I gained a nice fuel economy boost off of this.

Also, I would recommend getting a power programmer. This way you can gain some serious HP and also can use a fuel economy mode and this does help quite a bit as I use a SuperChips programmer.

Please tell me this is a typo? You really meant 235/75r15?
