Please HELP!: Durango throwing electrical codes
I own a 2000 Durango with 152k. I am in the process of trying to sell it but it didn't pass smog recently due to a check engine light that has been on for months. I am pretty low on cash and the truck is running perfect so I didn't bother to get it checked. I just got the codes run today and it came back with the following;
P1594 - Charging system voltage too high
P0581 - Power Steering pressure sensor/switch circuit range/performance
P0155 - 02 Circuit Bank 2 sensor 1
P1281 - Engine is cold too long
P0420 - Catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1
The service writer at pep boys said that he recommends I take it to the dealership in case it is an issue with the computer since all the codes are electrical. My concern is I really need this thing sold and can't dump a bunch of money into it from the dealership. Any suggestions or tips on where to start? Thanks a lot.

If I am looking at an ECM issue, is there any price range I am looking at to get a new one? or is it too hard to tell? Appreciate the help.
if you go on ebay they are not too bad, you buy the unit, they ask for the information, program it and ship it to you, then you plug it in and should be good to go i want to say they are more like 200-300 if done this way
Hrmm that's not too bad at all, it's pretty much just plug and play once you receive it? Is the only way to be sure that this is the issue is taking it to the dealership and having them run a diagnostic?

That price almost seems too good to be true, what do you guys think?
