Default Check Valve In Trans. Cooler Line

I need to know if my 2000 Durango 5.9L 4x4, 46re trans. has a check valve in one of the cooler lines. I am rebuilding my trans. and have read if you have one make sure it is replaced or removed because they plug up and cause the trans. to fail. My truck does not have a tow package, so there is no external cooler. Thanks for reading.

My truck does not have a tow package either but still has a transmission cooler. Didn't even come stock with a hitch.

Mine has no cooler, the lines go right into the side of radiator, that is the cooler.
I need to know if there is a ck. valve in one of those lines.

It threads into the pressure line that goes to the radiator cooler.

If you have a radiator that has the auxiliary transmission cooler and you get a replacement radiator with the same auxiliary transmission then the main steel lines come already on the replacement radiator and it will include a new trans cooler as well. Just get a new radiator in and look at it.

The A/C lines do not run into the radiator, they run to the condenser that is in front of the radiator. Yes there are 2 radiator looking things there......LOL

If you have a auxiliary trans cooler you will find it between the radiator and the condenser.
