Gotta love Durango's....
OK, just have to say this.... I love my Durango. Got up for work this morning at 5AM like normal, went outside & got into my snow covered- frozen-dirty-salty-high mileage-parked outside for 3 days Durango and noticed that the overhead display said -23 degrees F. Turned the key and she started without a wimper, put her in 4WD and pulled away with only the slightest whine 'cause the transfer case oil is sooooooo cold. A quick 5 miles down the road and she's blowing hot air and I'm all warm & toasty sipping on a fresh cup of Timmy Ho's coffee.
Fast forward 2 hours as my dear loving wife goes outside where her pristine-babied-clean-white-polished AWD Pacifica sits comfortably in the garage. She gets in, turns the key and it (in her words) "sounded like the cat was stuck under the hood again" starts, spits & sputters, dies, and then the dreaded "click click" when she turns the key.
She's staying home today and has "informed" me that "our" car broke and she'll be taking "her" Durango to work from now on.
BTW, no cats were harmed either.

Yeah, must admit - short of the lifter sounding knock this 4.7 gives me in the morning, it just plain starts up everyday.
I just paid it off a month ago too - that's a huge, huge plus as well. Maybe after I get some other things shored up, I can get a second car and start putting some real work into maintaining this beast.
The door freezes on me sometimes too - and I think I know why. Right on the most forward edge of the door, I've noticed some ice along the edge, I think it comes in from the edge of the hood right there and down the front side of the door by the hinges. Not much I can do about it, but in each case, a couple of good tugs usually breaks it free.
Still - for a V8, it warms up oh so fast..
