Muffler Offsets
Theres loud and there's rumble. Rumble sounds good. Straight pipes sound bad (not the cool bad either). Chevy has a really annoying BAP BAP BAP sound from straight pipes. Glasspacks are louder than that 10 series.
I've had 4 different systems on mine, and i'm really liking the 40 series on the 5.9. It rumbles at idol and sounds like nascar at 4k rpm.
But like bowhunt said," To each their own."
When I Installed my GP, I used a straight inlet/outlet GP and a short piece of pipe. when I was done, I had to tweak the tailpipe a small bit but it is still in the factory exit location.

I'm just confused at what people think is a fart cannon, I always thought that name belonged to like I-4's and V-6's, not 4.7l V-8's, IMO, which matters to me the most because it's my truck, I think the Flow 10 is a nice, loud sound, not a tuner or ricer sound.
Agreed but obviously the 4.7 is going to sound ricerish compared to a 5.9 and a cammed 5.9....
So, yeah, they may not quite have the "chainsaw" sound of the little Hondas, but it's still not something that you can just throw a new muffler on and have it sound like a powerhouse of a motor.
I grew up in the days when the cars that high school kids could afford were from the late 60s and early 70s. In my mind, even the 5.9 is on the smallish side of what a V-8 can be. (5.9 liters translates to only 360 cubic inches. That's about the size of the motor in my first car, a '71 4 door Olds Cutlass family car. When I think of a "big" motor, I'm thinking big block. But then I'm an old fart, things are different these days...)

4.7 liters is roughly 286 cubic inches. That's a SMALL V-8. You can find V-6s and I-6s that size.

Ohhh! Now I get what you guys mean by fart-cannon! Haha! I'm only 19, so a Flow 10 on a 4.7l is plenty loud for me, but I can bet my dad and grandpa can say otherwise with the noise, I'm perfectly fine with my durango :P!
Ahh, you're 19... That explains why you're still so clueless....
The point isn't to be "plenty loud", the point is to "sound good".
Until you learn the difference you're going to be in the embarrassing position of driving around thinking "ain't I cool" while in reality everyone is watching you go by saying "what an idiot"....
