Default Newbie at possible liftts and ideas!

So, my Durango is sitting at stock level right now and I want to just raise it 2''. I've been looking around and I can either lift it by a body lift which is too expensive, a T/S lift, or T and add-a-leaf, or leveling it and putting an add-a-leaf or vise versa? Not really too sure, but what's the easiest, cheapest way to lift my bad boy 2''. Something me and my buddy can do at home in a couple or hours? I also heard you don't even need to buy new torsion keys if you just crank the old ones? Valid? Not sure, please help!

Do a T/S lift for a nice and simple 2" lift. Not sure where you were looking but a body lift is only around $250.

Shackles work great and the only thing I have against add a leaf is that it stiffens your ride a lot.

Thanks bud! And yeah, I just read around on how to utilize the torsion by turning it and all, now comes the one I got confused on, the shackles, how to do you go about replacing the shackles?

Here's a great step by step guide to doing it, and should answer any questions you have:

Also, newbie question as well, but can someone show/take a picture of where a typical torsion bar screw is located? I have a 2000 durango but I don't think it matters for the models around this year. Also, I heard you have to spray these screws with penetrating oil so the screws don't break?

Look under the truck mid way and you will see one single round bar coming back on each side and those round bars will input under the drivers and passenger seats on the frame. It appears that they stop the front end from sliding backward. If you look at where they input under the seats on the frame, you will see they are on a rocker that is set with single bolt on each side. When you crank the set bolt inward the the truck front end raises. You raise the front end over OEM height measurements 8 full turns for 2 inches of lift.

On the rear you simply install the Belltech 6400 shackles and a few fender washers to raise the rear.
