Fastman TB?

Fastman TB?
Hi all - I'm considering a Fastman TB for my 2001 Durango RT and I'm looking for some feedback. Is the performance gain noticeable? For an affordable part did it meet or exceed your expectations? Anything, lookin for some community feedback on if I should buy this, or I'm looking to buy a Superchips programmer instead. I thank you in advance for your help.

Well the Fastman TB for me was a very noticeable gain to my engine. Theres much more throttle response as well as slightly noticeable fuel economy gain. I also have the SuperChips programmer and love it. It definitely increased both top and low end power, as well as increased fuel economy with the Economy mode.
It's mainly what you're looking for. The Fastman TB is ported and polished so it increases air flow and keeps your engine running cooler.

I like that you've put both products on your Durango because I'm likely going to do the same. It's just a question of which one will I do first? Both are roughly the same cost and I would absolutely benefit from my engine breathing better. The programmer has more options on it (like fuel economy mode) which would make it a better pick over the TB, but for right now I just need it to breathe better. Thanks Widow.

There really is 2 TB's to chose from. The 52mm is more for the street performance and regular builds. The 50mm is more for low end torque so mainly for towing at least on the 5.9L motor. For a larger build Dan can also bore you a 53mm.
The 5.2L motor the best all around TB is the 50mm unless a large build was done.

From the feedback I've received from the Masters here, I'm gonna go with the 52mm. A nagging question I have though is this: Will my mileage get worse with this bigger TB? Widow I know said I could see marginal gains going to an increased TB size I'm just really very shy about putting anything on my D could make the mileage worse. Already pushin' 10 on a good day and, quite honestly, already that's as low as I can go. Thanks!
