What type of converter do you recommend if I do find it to be bad? I dont want to put a piece of crap back in.

http://www.partshp.com/Converters.htm#Dodge Gas

This is where I got my kit for a rebuild to convert my existing 46re into a 47re.

I would also PM Master Tech, he's our main man for transmission knowledge and he would be able to give you an idea where to start!

Well, gave it a tune up today and reset the PCM. Took her for a short spin and it seems to have made a world of difference, I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope this solves my problem. Thanks everyone! I'll keep you posted.

Well it seemed to be better for about a week, then the same issue has returned. Everything has been checked and is in good order. I spoke with the mechanic and he did a little research on Identifix and has come up with a possible issue of it being the intake gasket. Just wondering if anyone knows if this may be the cause of my issues. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

If he thinks it's the intake gasket, have him check for leaks on it.

Do you know the process or everything he did to replace all the plugs? If he messed with anything and that turns out to be the problem, the repair is on him because he certainly would charge you for the time and parts needed to do the entire job, even if it means taking other things off to get access.

On the other hand it could just be a problem that has nothing to do with the work he did, it's hard to say, but just be nice and work with him on the issue, I'm sure he doesn't mean any wrong.

I wouldn't doubt that it's running rich for one reason or another, the symptoms you described match it pretty well.

intake gasket i would take to be the plenum, you can check it by looking down the throttle body (take the airhat off, open up the butterflies and shine a flashlight down there) if there is oil pooled in the bottom the plenum gasket is bad.

What about the motor mounts?

There are 2 freeze plugs on the back of the motor. Did they remove the motor to fix ALL of the freeze plugs?
