Think I will get the pipe in case my floor jack trick doesnt pay off, so how tight do I need to torque this puppy back down when I install the new hub ?

I replaced the drivers side no prob but when i got to the pass side the nut wouldnt come off for the life of me I had a 3/4 breaker bar with a 10 foot pipe and i still had to jump on the thing and im not a small dude pushing 3 bills. I ended up busting the breaker bar before the nut came loose so its back to the drawing board for me

Yea, I was thinking I only have a 1/2" drive breaker bar though quite sturdy enough for most jobs, this might send it to the scrap bin, but you can only p**s with the pr*ck you have, so if it breaks I'll put the wheel back on and go hire an impact driver.

I dont think an electric will do it either you might be in luck tho The drivers side on mine came off easy compaired to whats been said on here so i would say give it a shot and see what happens. I get to take mine to a buddies shop that works on semis a 1 inch impact should do the trick.

That axel nut's only weakness is impact. If you keep some heavy leverage on a breaker bar and whack the bar with a hammer it will come off easily, you just need to find someone to stand on the other side(we just find somebody's wife, they usually got the weight you need). At least we don't have to worry about rust or other nasty stuff with that nut.

An electric impact might do it as long as it has enough torque to break it. I just have air because we have a 156 gallon tank in the back of the shop because all of our tools run off air and we do some painting so no problem holdin down the trigger for 2 minutes to break the bolt.

If you have an electric I'd give it a shot, if not I wouldn't buy one I'd rent it.
