Sounds like you need to clean your Throttle Body and IAC. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ttle-body.html

Would I need to use gasket sealant for the throttle body?

No just use a throttle body gasket you can get cheap from AutoZone and it's just a composite/rubber gasket and just goes between the throttle body and intake manifold.

Ok thanks, unfortunately some of this stuff will have to wait until I get back from school in a month or so.. The more I get from you guys and the directions that you guys are giving is helping alot it seems like alot of of issues with D's can be solved readilly by a few bucks and some time.

How long after resetting the PCM does it take for everything to fall into sync?

50-500 miles for a complete re-learn to be complete

however most stuff will be fine as soon you reconnect the battery and start it up

Thanks shrpshtr. I've sunk some change into her already and its only been within the last month that I have had any issues with her. And it all started after I changed the battery and the oil. So far shes running smooth all except for the stepping on the gas and revving then slowing reving then slowing before doing anything and this only happens under about 40-50 miles an hour.
