I should have it tom after work. Gonna try and have it on by this weekend. I ordered a Flowmaster Super 40 952547. Should sound Awesome! I will post vid/pics when complete.

 

This is the muffler I have on mine and it sounds mean as hell cruising down the road. Got that throaty performance sound but doesn't make so much noise you can't hear music and you **** off the person next to you.

WhiteWidow, is yours a 4.7 and is it stock? Mine is stock except for a drop in K&N filter. I'm anxious to hear it!

 

No mine is a 5.9 and far from stock but you have a 4.7 correct? I've been anxious to hear a 4.7 with that muffler setup.

 

ive got a 5.9 with the flowmaster 40 race muffler(about a foot long). mean as hell and nice and throaty. not extremely loud but is a bit louder than the standard 40s. ill have to get a vid up...

Too loud and droned for my taste, but each to their own.

 

Is there an ideal exhaust that works with a 4.7 that doesn't drone? I thought about going to a muffler shop and just have them throw on a cheap cat back. The guy said he did one for one of his guys that has a D.

 

I will be installing this Tomorrow (Saturday). What is the stock diameter of a 2003 Durango 4.7? The stock muffler connector to connector is 42" and my flowmaster is 20 1/2". So I bought 2 18" long pipes (2 1/2" in diameter) and 4 clamps, I can cut to fit. The 2 1/2 pipes fit INSIDE both ends of the flowmaster.

 

Yeah this a bit off from my taste but I'll have to ge a video of mine so y'all can hear the regular 40 series. It sounds mean as hell but not as raspy and droned it might just be the 4.7 though...
