She overheated, again!
OK guys so if you can remember back around april 10th or so my 2002 4.7l durango was overheating. We changed out the t stat and topped it off with coolant.
Than again around may 10th she was overheating again and i "professionally" got the coolant flushed.
both times she stopped over heating. And now today i was out driving and she overheated, again!
At this point idk what the problem could be. she over heats, we do something it stops than 3-4 weeks later it happens again.
there has to be some bigger problem here than just air in the system mixed antifreeze's or the t stat.
Any ideas? its driving me crazy!!!
here are links to when i posted on this topic before if it helps any.

Not knowing anything about the other thread you mentioned: how old is your radiator? My 2001 Durango didn't overheat, but the radiator wouldn't keep it cool if it was running on anything other than flat ground. I replaced the radiator and it cools just fine regardless of load and climb.
Shes got 81,500 miles on her roughly. I don't think the radiator is bad. at least i'm hoping its not ad. i might have to go talk to a mechanic but what they always suggest is bringing it in for a diagnosis.
On a side note i opened the bleeder valve up once she was up to operating temp and there were/are plenty of bubbles seeping out. does that mean there is air in the system. the radiator cap on the top lone is closed.
guess i'm just waiting for hydra shrp or widow to jump in since they've been there on the other threads as far as the problem goes.

yeah most likely. well for now i'm gonna try to burp the system as they explained before and i think i may have air in the system. but i wanna play it safe as if thats not it to keep looking for a problem just in case there is one. you can feel by hand the heat off the radiator right?
once shes up to temp i should be able to feel if shes hot or cold on the top or bottom?

There were a lot of bubbles? Sounds like a blown head gasket to me. The exhaust gases are getting in and disrupting the flow of coolant, therefor causing the overheating.
I suggest you get the head gasket checker from NAPA and verify.
