Yeah i remember you mentioning that biff85ta. Well I'll look around for some leaks and you are right alotta the side portions on both sides are somewhat hard to get good looks at.

Well, this is the part i hate most...waiting. Since mine takes up to and over a month to show signs its gonna be hard to tell if the rad cap solves anything.

Keep checking you overflow tank. If it is not getting low then you can know the problem is solved.

It did the whole sit in idle with engine warm and the engine heat went past normal again. As soon as i started driving it went back just below half/normal.

Anybody ever heard of an auxiliary pump?

no auxillary pump on these trucks, just one that keeps the engine cool, if it cools right back down once you start moving that sounds like a fan problem to me one of them isnt working right, the other option would be partially clogged radiator.

Yeah? The reason i ask about it is because while i was looking around online about the door latches somebody on review said there 2002 4.7l durango kept over heating and that they changed the radiator and the t stat three times and the water pump and the fan clutches and w/e and than found out that there was an auxiliary pump that "NOT EVEN THE DEALERSHIP KNEW ABOUT" this is the part that made me think but idk if you say there isn't one.

Someone said that its the box on the top left corner of the radiator?

And shrp, i can hear my fan start right up when it over heats. so idk if its a fan. a partially clogged radiator maybe? Who knows i guess. will look into both.

topdogcustoms, as far as i can tell there is no leak. Unless its leaking very slowly from somewhere so I'm not seeing any coolant puddles anywhere.
