My apologies I know this topic has been discussed many times but I just haven't found the information that I need to fix the problem. Or I probably should say "the way I need it" so I can understand it and fix the problem. This forum has helped many times in fixing things but this one has me stumped.
So far I have changed the gas cap, but after that I am lost as to where to go next, in idiot terms, what would be the next steps, if you could include pictures that would be great, or a map. If there is a DIY with it spelled out please direct me to that post. I did install a K&N cold air intake but have gone over 1000 miles before I got the error code.
Thanks for the help,
Curt

its not your intake, it could be leaking vacuum lines

or you can check the connection on the leak detection pump then replace the pump itself ill see if i can get pics of where it is for you this afternoon.

Thanks for the help. The light actually went off so I thought it was only the gas cap but poof back on it came, same code. I removed the error memory and it came back on again. I am going to replace the hoses at the canister.
I have a new problem now, I will post it. In short the check guages light came on then my radio went off, then all the electrical went off, (tach, speedomiter, everything) then it died at a stop sign. Had it jumped made it about another 10 miles. Replaced the battery and it started right up all seemed to work but the check guages light still on. Please check out my new post.

Back to square one. I replaced the cracked hoses and gas cap. Code will not go away when I disconnect the neg battery cable. What would be my next step and pics would help immensely.
Since the code is Leak Detection Pump Solenoid Circ, where is the solenoid and how do I check it? How can I check the circuit?

I found the solinoid and one of the two vac hoses was pretty bad. I replace both and checked as many more as I could find under the hood. Looks like all the hoses are now crack free. Can't get the check engine light to go off or erase the code. I followed the instructions on removing codes a couple of times.
