When you replace bearings you should replace the race. The race is the outer hardened cone that the bearings ride on. The inner race is usually attached to a bearing so it almost always gets replaced. On the pinion there is 2 full sets of bearings, the inner and the outer and both have inner and outer races. A rough bearing is a bad bearing.

Yes, I use Mobil One Fully Synthetic LS 75W-90 with an entire 7oz bottle of friction modifier. I pour the entire bottle in first then fill it to about 1/4 inch below the fill plug for the rear end. Use the same for the front but without the friction modifier because you don't need it for the front. I would replace the fluid after 500 miles. Also remember your bearings need to get broken in so do some short driving so they heat and cool tell they set for that first 500 miles. I would stay away from long trips, but it's not as bad as when you replace the gearing.

That's the way it is supposed to be when it's done right, nice, smooth and quite.

Default Synthetic Oil

Hm...I was actually wondering if full Synthetic Oil in the Engine would be good. We replaced the differential fluis with the same stuff that was in it ... but new.

Transfer has new synthetic fluid. Now I was wondering if Synthetic oil would be a better choice than regular or blend in the engine.

Thank for the help!

Yes,

As long as you don't have any current leaks and it is in good running condition. FS lubricants kick that crap out of any conventional oil.
