I really don't like AAMCO, but what ever. Make sure after the rebuild they only install ATF+4 into that transmission! They will try to fill it with mufti-vehical ATF and that is NOT good enough! See the manufacture web site and it even states that! Pay the extra $50 bucks or so for the correct fluid and ask for the bottles or to see the barrel they used, do not just take their word for it. Also ask to see all of the bad parts, this will help to ensure they fix only what is bad.

I wouldnt have them do it however they are close to where I live I'm trying to keep my costs down and I'll remind them on Mon only ATF +4 and I can guarantee if it's not done right it'll keep going back until it's done right under their warranty and the other avenues available. And the 2 quarts hell I have no idea i know the level was good before the last check that was done, and I can say I will not be recommending that place to anyone.

Got her back yesterday and so far so good feels and sounds like shes running better than when i bought her. Ultimate was the direct clutch went out and overdrive snap rings failed.

So the problem was with the overdrive all along? That means they didn't even have to pull the transmission, just the overdrive unit.

Do you mind if I ask what the total bill was? Just curious.

I'm glad you've got it going again

Shes shifting a hell of alot better now and much much smoother. If things had gone how they should have i would have been in a 11 R/T Plus.
