i was under the impression that BMW used Euro-spec synthetic oils which you could not buy equivalent or better here in the US. My father also claims there is no oil drain plug on the X5 (i havnt had a chance to look for myself yet)
They do use euro spec oil. My uncle ordered direct euro spec from amsoil via the internet.
European...great looking cars but very different i might say. Girlfriend just got a vw with the w8 engine in it. Takes 9 quarts of 5w-40 or 0w-40. Talk about a pain in the butt.
