This might be a stupid question... but it's one of those little things.
I have a 99 with the 2wd/4wdPT/4wdFT/4L option.
Here's the lights that show up in the respective positions
2wd - no lights
4wdPT -4 wheel Part Time
4wdFT -4 wheel Full Time
4L - 4 Wheel PART time (This is the one I am questioning..)
I would think 4L should show as 4 Wheel Full time??

nope 4L is a part time gear, the front and rear drive shafts are locked together, and the gearing is reduced, 4L gives you a top speed of like 35 or 40 in OD, and is designed to give you more power at low speeds in low traction situations (example: pulling a boat up a slipery boat launch)
you should NOT be driving in 4L unless you are in one of those high power low speed, low traction situations.

The 4wd lights are the only ones I want to see on my dash.. I was tired of the ABS/Brake lights, and I despise the low fuel light. LOL.
