I know that you can because that's what I did (although I did get clear corner lights before that). What I said was that you can't just get the clear piece fluted of plastic that the headlight beam shines through, you have to get the whole headlight housing like this one, not the corners too

I watched the video and I have a question. Did he put a projector bulb into the housing? I would like to get more light coverage from my HL's. Are there any "how to" videos on You Tube that show how to make upgrades. Also if your lens is hazy making the lights dim wouldn't it be a good time to buff it out while you have it disassembled?

Yes in fact that same guy made this video of how to do the retro fit. projector retrofit Yes, it would be a good time to clean up hazy lenses, but the haze is usually on the outside and it could be too "deep" into the plastic to fix (depending on their age). Mine were too far along to repair so I just replaced them.

I took this picture after I had replaced one of the lenses. You can see how bad the other one looked compared to the new one and the clear corner lenses

Also you CANNOT safely install projectors into the oem housing using the oem fluted lens, you will have to use parts from an aftermarket housing that have the crystal clear lens, like these ones. The fluted lens will distort the light from the projector, cause glare, and is highly illegal to do.

Thanks for the suggestions, I was looking at it cause I had to replace the drivers side from a deer collision. As it sits I can't do the one piece units cause the bumper brackets are bent pushing the bumper into my grille.

So I gave up on that stuff I bought on ebay and decided to get the permatex defroster repair kit and give it a try. I ran into a problem with it at first, being that you have to pull the tape off as soon as it gets tacky. If you let it completely dry and then pull off the tape it will all come off. The other thing is you can't wash the window using windex where the repair is. I've been carefully washing the rest of the window and then using a very fine microfiber cloth around the patches, but not over them.
