Compression and a leakdown test will tell you what you need to know. Sounds to me like a HG went bad.

I could be the security shutting the engine down. If the new pcm wasn't vin flashed then the security will do that.

Well the only sure fire way to know whether you have a blown HG is a compression test.

I don't have a remote at all for my D,,, An just have the black key only,,, When I first got my D I didn't have any keys at all,,, I had to go to the dealer to get one made,, They made the key from my Vin #'s an it works everything,, An also the dealer is the ones that told me that my 1998 4X4 Durango dosn't have the security an thats why I have a black key for it,,, If It had security then it would have a gray key for it,,, So I really don't know what to say about all this at all,, The guy that I ordered the new rebuild PCM box also told me that its not made for security,,, I sure wish I wasn't deaf an I would sure be able to call around but can't,,, So thats why I am in this site to hope to get some help,, An I really thank ya all,,,
