Default 00 durango 4.7 l acting up

New Guy sorry! 2000 durnago has been giving me major fits for the past 6 months. Have replaced battery, cam, crank, iac, tps, and so on. I have days when it starts and runs fine and then later in the day it just won't start and back fires and so on. I'm at a loss and need this vehicle to get me another year or so. I have noticed it gets very hot under the hood and the PCm is hot as well. I have tried most of the tricks of unplugging and so forth as have been posted what do I do next need help please!!!!!

codes keep telling me to replace this sensor and that sensor based on taking to local auto parts store and having scanner hooked to it. So I replaced as per the codes not a mechanic just trying to keep the wife vehicle running. Have hade this for several years and need just a few more. Last night I got it to idle for 45 minutes before it just quits running. And then it takes me stepping on the gas to get it to start and then I get it to start an idle rough or backfires really bad.

not always it will try sometimes several times but thenI get pissed and walk off. Come back several minute later and put foot on pedal and start or it just might start with no pedal action required at all.

yah I have been driving it a little this week and when it stays running its fine. But of course like many when coming up to stop lights and so forth I get nervous it might stall out. I have noticed when the temperature gauge hits roughly 210 the truck starts acting up badly. Rough idle or just shuts off. Its like a gremlin I can't figure out. Have thought about a new pcm but not sure. I know when the temperature gets hot the front of that thing is hot the bare arm.

Last night it gave me P0505 and P1495 after it shut down. As for the smoke it was a little white last night once I got it restarted and drove around the block.
